Data hosted within SyntheticMass has been generated by Synthea TM , an open-source patient population simulation made available by The MITRE Corporation .
The data is free from cost, privacy, and security restrictions. It can be used without restriction for a variety of secondary uses in academia, research, industry, and government.

Childhood Obesity
-
Synthetic Denver,
FHIR
: 295 MB
- Synthetic Denver is a population used for testing by the Childhood Obesity Data Initiative (CODI) project. It is comprised of 6,357 simulated child patients residing in Colorado, with records split to test and identity matching system. This data set represents an approximately 1 / 100th simulation of Denver and contains realistic name, address, contact info. The realism and variations of the demographic data is modeled after patterns that found in a Denver area healthcare provider.
mCode (Oncology)
- Breast Cancer, FHIR and mCode . The Minimal Common Oncology Data Elements (mCode) project has several sets of breast cancer patient data sets available from the link above.
Oh Canada!
- Sample of Canadian FHIR Data : 124 MB. Synthetic Canadian patients spread across provinces.
The Coherent Data Set
This is a synthetic data set that includes FHIR resources, DICOM images, genomic data, physiological data (i.e., ECGs), and simple clinical notes. FHIR links all the data types together.
- The Coherent Dataset : 9 GB ( [mirror] . As described in the paper below.
